PDW-F1600 XDCAM HD422 recorder and player

Sony PDW-F1600 XDCAM HD422 Series provides high-quality video and audio recording capabilities, with an image resolution of 1920 x 1080 and eight-channel 24-bit uncompressed audio.

For highly streamlined workflows you can use Proxy Data. Such proxy would be much smaller in size than high-resolution data (1.5Mb/s for video and 0.5Mb/s for audio).
The overall flexibility of Proxy Data means that it can be used for a variety of applications, such as immediate logging on location, off-line editing, daily rushes of shooting on location, client approvals, and more. This player is ideal for transferring footage into non-linear workstations.

From the IT perspective, industry-standard MXF file format material can be handled with great flexibility in such environment. All operations like copying, transferring, sharing and archiving can be achieved without the need for digitizing process.

Sony PDW-F1600 shares the features of PDW-HD1500 as well as it can be used as conventional VTR recorder in a linear editing system – thanks to its insert/assemble editing capability.

Long recording times

PDW-F1600 supports dual-layer Professional Discs 50 GB. When dual-layer Professional Discs are used, this unit can record about 95 minutes
